Rice Cooker

So I got a rice cooker (like finally). Now I no longer have to take the elevator two floors down to Derek&Lihan's apartment for rice (indeed I'm quite lazy). Anyway, it's just a good convenience to have so that I can cook rice whenever I want.

Meanwhile I can't believe today's the last day of September.. While this year's september is definitely less eventful than last year's (you don't want to know why), it's been a very enjoyable month, of which cooking is certainly accounted for. Tonight we cooked curry, which tasted quite delicious.

Oh, it's also Martina Hingis' birthday today. Happy birthday to her. Lastly, enjoy this video:

到不了  范瑋琪

*你眼睛會笑 彎成一條橋
終點卻是我 永遠到不了
 感覺你來到 是風的呼嘯
思念像苦藥 竟如此難熬 每分每秒

#我找不到 我到不了
你所謂的將來的美好
 我什麼都不要 知不知道
若你懂我 這一秒

△我想看到 我在尋找
那所謂的愛情的美好
 我緊緊的依靠 緊緊守牢
不敢漏掉 一絲一毫 願你看到

Repeat *,#,△,#,△

Enjoy the new song, and this performance too.

中秋節快樂!

It's almost historical that I hadn't written an entry for 7 days. 7. Seven. It's become more of a 'weekly blog' here, hasn't it..

Things are going well. (It's difficult to think of what to say now; a bit like seeing friends you haven't met for a long time..) One thing is that my tech comm professor passed away (the day after our first class) due to a heart attack. So now I have to switch to another section, which is at tuesday night. That means I have very busy mondays and tuesdays, busy wednesdays, easy thursdays and no classes on fridays. It feels like a downward slope through the week in terms of workload.

I'll come back tmr for more. Bye for now; and I hope you enjoyed my reemergence.

Our mixer was quite good. Meanwhile I should get some rest for overlooking club tennis' tryouts tmr morning.

September 15, 2007 Eugene, where are you?

I'm in your heart. What? You don't think so? Okay.. Sorry for appearing so infrequently. At night I just feel tired (perhaps from all the walking between campus and my dorm) and forget to update my site. But I know this shouldn't be an excuse.

Classes are going well so far. Financial accounting is interesting, statistics is okay and Renee is a good classmate, statics is a total bore, tech comm is not tech comm at all, and business law is quite fun so far though I'd prefer a better classroom. That about sums it up as how my classes are.

Just earlier tonight Derek, Lihan, Renee and I went to a korean restaurant for dinner. It was quite good. I've also joint forces with Derek and attempted some medium-difficulty dishes these few days. Here's some pix for you.

This weekend was quite fun. Yesterday we went to farmer's market as well as to Towson Mall (for shampoo), and cooked soy sauce chicken for dinner. Today I mostly stayed around (besides playing some badminton) the apartment and watched the men's finals of the US Open. Well, as expected Federer won, his 4th US Open title this time.

Lessons start tmr. We'll see how they go.

September 7, 2007

After waiting for someone to fix my internet in the morning, I went to the SAC fair in Mattin. It was baking hot there. I traveled between HKSA and tennis club's booths, but spent most of my time at the latter. For tennis club, we had a very decent sign up rate; for hksa, it wasn't too bad..

Then at night, I cooked. What did I make? Farfalle alfredo. But the alfredo sauce tasted a bit strange.. We also had chicken nuggets as a side dish. We then watched movies on tv for 4 hours. It was fun.

Btw you can have a look at this picture album of my apartment. Enjoy.

Happy birthday, Adrian.
Today was a somewhat bizarre start of classes for me. I had to cancel micro theory because I don't have the prereqs. But the good thing is that my new schedule has no classes on friday. That's a good thing, ya?

Meanwhile, at night, Derek and I went to visit Amy Fu and made a banner for HKSA's booth in the SAC fair tmr. It should be interesting.

September 5, 2007 Back at Hopkins

My entire experience settling in has been quite smooth I must say (unlike Derek, who lost his wallet and sequentially fainted in the airport (no joke..)). I have a very decent living environment, and I'm happy with my room (and my kitchen and my living room and my bathroom). This kind of environment almost makes you want to stay in it 24/7.

Meanwhile, classes start tmr. I'll post some pictures in the weekend. Bye now.

September 3, 2007

Keeping in touch with people is always something I'm horrible at. I was reminded of that when Steven called me out of the blues this afternoon. We actually had a long conversation, and it was nice to catch up with what we've been doing and not been doing. Anyway..

I'm flying back tmr. Hopefully everything goes smoothly.

September 2, 2007

Hi. I thought it's neccessary to say 'hi' since I disappeared for 2 days. Well, sorry.. I felt (and still feel) shocked and disappointed when Martina crashed out from her 3rd round match yesterday. Then today she also crashed out from her doubles match. Double disappointment it is..

Meanwhile, I'll be back at Hopkins in a few days. See you all soon.

P.S. From August 1st to September 1st, there are 544 visits (17704-18258), so the average is 17.0 per day. There's definitely room for improvement, so pls come more often. Don't worry, I'll do the same.
